Gradient filaments - managing expectations.

Gradient filaments are a stunning way of adding extra colour to our prints without the faff of multiple filament changes or repainting files. However, it's worth noting that your results will be a bit more random than selecting the colours independently.

The example I've chosen is our Li'l Adrian articulated octopus. They are all (lovingly) printed with ZIRO Matte Rainbow filament, but they all look completely different! This is worth bearing in mind when requesting a custom order, because there's no guarantee of colour placement.

The colour fade on Li'l Adrian works perfectly, but with some filaments the effect appears more stripy than gradient. It's very much a case of trial and error.

Of course, being the danger-loving risk-takers that we are, we love the surprises we get every time we print!
