The plight of the Hobbling Andrew.
Since Baz and I first met, the thing that we bonded over the most was our love of the ridiculous. We have a similar sense of humour and even five years down the line we still make each other laugh every day. One evening, a few years back, we were bored and almost certainly drunk. We were talking about the weird alternate and seemingly irrelevant regional names that the UK has for woodlice. Being a Surrey lass, I've always known them as Cheesy Bobs, which now I'm an adult seems a bit random....

Toy testing, compliance and INDESTRUCTIBLE OTTERS.
I won't lie, UKCA testing is something that we've been looking at for ages but simply didn't know where to start. Captain Engineerpants got the ball rolling by thoroughly over-researching the equipment required and adding it to the already enormous arsenal of Things That I Shouldn't Touch he's acquired over the past year and a bit. We have a new printer, and it's a MONSTER.
Today has been bit of a faff-around-and-find-out day in the CA lab. The new Anycubic 3D printing Anycubic Kobra K3 Max has arrived with its massive 420/420/500 build volume, that’s 88.2 litres! I’ve not had to assemble a printer yet, as most of our current set up are CoreXY with the only two bed slingers being a pair of stalwart A1 minis. So I was a little apprehensive about setting this monster up, but the paper manual (gotta love a tactile instruction book rather than a sterile PDF) is well...
